All our products are made of NATURAL SILK and 100% made in France, as it was made at the beginning of the century. They are coated with a mix of various components.

Former, they were only parallel. Nowadays, we propose different models : SP/ST/DT/WF/PP.

All our silks are home-made, they are the only ones that have a splicing at each end : one to link with the backing and the other one to link with the rat tail not to make a hard point.

Denser weight for weight than a synthetic silk, a natural silk is thinner, it cuts the air better and is more discreet and has no memory.

You must take care of your silks :

• Running in of the coating before first use
• Greasing at any times you need depending of your casting.

CLASSIFICATION OF SILKS

Natural silks are classified depending on several criteria which are codified and standardized by the AFTMA :

• profil
• weight
• floating criteria.

1) Parallel silk lines 

Parallel silk fishing lines 2,3,4,5,6 (green with red peas and honey with black peas) are used for small distance fishing and in rapid waters.

Supplied no loop

2) ST Silk lines

From 2 to 6 : for all types of fishing, streams and rivers.

15 m Silk line - Single taper

Supplied with one loop on the running line side 

3) DT silk lines 

From 2 to 6 : for all types of fishing, streams and rivers.

DT 9-10-11-12 : for salmon fishing with two-hand fishing rod

Supplied with one loop of the same colour on each side 

4) WF silk lines 

Our WF silk lines are weight forward lines with long head for delicate cast.

Supplied with a loop of a the line colour at the running line side and of a different colour at the backing side.

5) PP (Progresssive Profile) Silk lines             

The Pure Silk line PP (Progressive Profile) arose from the need to put delicately a dry fly or a nymph at any distance and exactly.

Its development is the outcome of the rigourous work made by our technical team which has been helped by several experimented fishermen. The PP was tested in an extensive way on a big variety of rivers and we are proud to be now able to share with you this innovation.

On the technical plan we developed an innovating profile. The PP associates the discretion of a Pure Silk DT line with the quality of throw of a WF. Provided with a loop at every extremity, it is reversible. On big flat surfaces where fishes are very selective, it was necessary to create a Silk line to reach important distances without damaging its discreet criteria for the fishing in, dry fly. It is now done with the PP.

The convential leader (rather thin) will equip your Silk line.

Our tries were made as followed::

Dry fly side, a braided leader.

Nymph side, a progressive leader of 35/100 ending in 10/100.

A loop of different colour allows to spot the dry fly side and the nymph side.

6) Specific Silk line

Special for salmon, WF Spey-cast, they are two-coloured, honey-coloured with double black peas - red running line

Supplied with a loop at each side.

7) Running lines :

We can make running lines with loop to assemble with synthetical shoating heads to get more dive speed.
